Road Fund Administration (RFA)
The Road Fund Administration (RFA) in Namibia was established in 1999 under the Road Fund Administration Act. Its mandate is to manage the Road Fund and finance the maintenance and development of Namibia’s road infrastructure. The RFA collects revenue primarily from road user charges, such as fuel levies, vehicle license fees, and cross-border charges.
RFA’s mission is to ensure the availability of adequate, stable, and sustainable funding for road infrastructure that supports national development. By focusing on efficient revenue collection and equitable fund distribution, the RFA helps maintain Namibia’s reputation for having one of Africa’s best road networks. The agency also promotes safety, accessibility, and the integration of rural and urban transport systems.
