The Ministry of Equipment, Infrastructure and Public Works in Gabon is the central government body responsible for the planning, development, and maintenance of the nation’s public infrastructure. This includes road networks, public buildings, bridges, and other major civil works. The Ministry plays a strategic role in supporting Gabon’s economic growth by improving transport efficiency, reducing logistical costs, and promoting national and regional integration through infrastructure development.

The Ministry’s mission is to deliver high-quality, durable infrastructure that meets the country’s development needs, fosters inclusive growth, and enhances connectivity across all regions of Gabon. It collaborates with domestic agencies and international partners such as the African Development Bank, AFD, and the World Bank to execute large-scale infrastructure projects, including those under the national Road Network Development Programme (PARR). The Ministry is also actively involved in modernizing urban and rural transport systems to support Gabon’s broader sustainable development and diversification goals.
