Kenya Roads Board (KRB)
The Kenya Roads Board (KRB) was established under the Kenya Roads Board Act of 1999 to coordinate the development, rehabilitation, and maintenance of roads funded through the Road Maintenance Levy Fund (RMLF). KRB operates under the Ministry of Roads and Transport, with oversight over national and county-level road agencies.
KRB’s mission is to ensure the efficient use of road maintenance funds and promote high-quality road infrastructure through oversight, monitoring, and coordination. The Board plays a key role in resource mobilization, policy development, and performance monitoring of road agencies. It supports economic development by advocating for sustainable road financing and enhanced road asset management.
