According to the ARMFA Constitution and By-Laws (2018) – Clause 6: Membership, Rights and Obligations of Members – ARMFA comprises three membership categories:
Any entity under a federal state or a decentralized collectivity registered with ARMFA.
Any organization similar to a Road Maintenance Fund that plays a role in road maintenance in an African country, or any organization involved in road maintenance operations.
ARMFA currently comprises 35 countries (including English, French, and Portuguese-speaking members), along with one Associate Member. Membership is open to all Road Maintenance Funds in African countries. However, countries with federal systems are admitted as Associate Members, which renders them non-voting members of the General Assembly.
To facilitate coordinated management, ARMFA members are grouped into four Regional Focal Groups (FGs):
Each Focal Group holds regular meetings to address issues of mutual interest within their respective regions. The outcomes and resolutions of these meetings are submitted for discussion and adoption by the General Assembly during ARMFA’s Annual Conference.
ARMFA’s Membership is composed of 35
countries (English, French and Portuguese speakers)
as well as one Associate member.
